Improve the Health of Your Wallet

I have been following Russell Brunson for a while. Russell Brunson is an internet marketing guru with products on How To Make Money. His ideas are sound. One reason I feel this is true is that I have read so many other internet gurus with similar advice. The things I like about Russell's site, Dot Com Secrets is that he seems very down-to-earth, not full of a lot of hype. He seems to speak from the heart. Many of his product prices are down-to-earth as well. He tells it like it is so that the little guy can get started on the path to making an income online or maybe even on the path to financial freedom.

I started implementing some of his strategies before the holidays and got sidetracked. I am about ready to get back to business. If anyone else has used Dot Com Secret strategies, feel free to post your comments and visit his site to check it out.

Natural Healing Habits: GRAINS, NUTS AND SEEDS

Choose whole grains. Better yet, choose sprouted whole grains. Still even better, choose raw sprouted grains as well as nuts and seeds. Go a step better and go with raw sprouted organic grains, nuts and seeds. Each step up to the best grain choices has benefits. Whole grains add fiber to the diet. Raw sprouted grains, nuts and seeds add enzymes that can speed potential healing. Organic foods help to ensure the lack of chemical herbicides and pesticides to our food as well as the absence of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) to our foods. Buying organic also helps preserve the environment. See more on GMOs in Natural Healing with Healthy Lifestyle Habits: AVOID THESE.

Adding fiber to the diet benefits health by potentially reversing and preventing intestinal diseases such as colon cancer. Fiber helps clean the intestinal tract, which benefits the entire body since the intestinal tract feeds the whole body nutrients through the foods we eat and drink.

Raw and sprouted grains contain enzymes that cause chemical reactions to occur at a greatly increased rate. Consuming foods rich in enzymes that are not cooked gives our body the chance to heal much more quickly. Grains, nuts and seeds may be soaked to increase enzyme content. You can dehydrate at a low temperature using a food dehydrator after soaking if that will improve the texture in the recipe you are using.

When you see something different, try it! I recently found black sesame seeds at an Indian market. Substitute it for regular sesame seeds in a recipe. Sprout seeds and put them on a sandwich, salad or your own recipe creation. Since our bodies are not that efficient and there are so many pollutants in the environment, we should do all we can to be as healthy as possible eating fresh raw foods.

Eating whole grains supplies the body with fiber to help flush out unwanted debris, providing you with more energy. Be sure to add fiber to the diet slowly to avoid intestinal distress. Eating raw foods and sprouted grains adds enzymes for greater healing capacity. After sprouting seeds in a sprouter, dehydrate seeds in a food dehydrator and then grind into flour using a grain mill to make delicious raw food recipes. Eat organic to benefit the environment and your body. This helps eliminate chemicals and GMOs from getting into the body that could potentially cause adverse health conditions. Following these guidelines may help you on your path to feeling great!

Natural Healing with Healthy Lifestyle Habits: FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Heal your body taking steps to improve your diet. Fresh, preferably raw and organic fruits and vegetables could help you achieve the level of health you desire. In fact, eating a wide variety of colorful fresh fruits and vegetables helps displace calories from less healthy food items and could even help reverse or prevent serious health conditions.

Research indicates that consuming a large portion of your calories from fresh fruits and vegetables helps reduce the risk of many diseases and adverse health conditions including many cancers. Get in the habit of eating at least five fruit and vegetable servings up to eight or ten a day. This may not be as hard as it sounds if you get some of those servings by juicing the fruits and vegetables. Be sure to drink the juice immediately after juicing before degradation begins to develop. To keep calories down, combine low calorie foods with higher calorie foods.

Add seasoning to fruits and vegetables with healing spices, healing herbs and healthy condiments. Eat fruits and vegetables raw when possible to speed healing potential. Raw fruits and vegetables are rich in enzymes. Enzymes can speed the rate of chemical reactions, which increases healing potential. Freshly sprouted seeds like alfalfa, broccoli and radish are especially enzyme-rich. Sprout your own seeds for tasty additions to sandwiches, salads and more. The practice of consuming sprouts enhances healing potential within the body immensely. Many people on a traditional American diet think, “Sprouts! Yuck!”, but what we eat is a habit. Once your taste buds get used to eating in a healthy way, you change your preferences and think, “Processed food with additives and chemicals! Yuck!” Change your eating habits and benefit from it by feeling better.

Not only can you feel better by eating in a healthier way, you will look better and enjoy the experience making and eating delicious recipes. Make the experience simple at first if that is easier for you by grabbing a fresh or dried fruit or vegetable on the run. You do not have to suffer restricting yourself from desserts either. Make yummy desert recipes with dried fruits and other healthy ingredients. Dry fresh produce using a food dehydrator; then use a good quality blender. If you blend often, I suggest a Vita-Mix or Blendtec Blender. These are two of the best blenders available and give years of blending pleasure.

Think about what bad eating habits do to your body. Eat lots of colorful fruits and vegetables. Eating a variety of colors is a good rule to follow because this helps to ensure you get a variety of healthy pigments, antioxidants and other nutrients. Consuming a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially raw, in the form of sprouts and particularly organic produce could help you heal from existing health conditions and prevent diseases from developing in the first place. Get in the habit of eating in a healthy way. You will be happy you did.

Natural Healing with Healthy Lifestyle Habits: FLUIDS

Develop healthy lifestyle habits with these general instructions on how to start healing from diseases and health conditions. In order to help prevent disease or adverse health conditions, it is a good idea to take the best care of yourself possible. Following this guideline can help prevent health conditions as well. What are some healthy lifestyle habits? General areas to work on include fluid intake, a diet rich in foods that heal including things to avoid, body care and exercise.

Unfortunately, too many of us decide to take better care of ourselves only after our state of health becomes compromised. That is better than not at all. The hardest part is just getting started. Most people do best by beginning with small steps. However, some people dive in full force headfirst. You know yourself best. If you have started a new health regiment, and quit repeatedly by over doing it in the beginning, start slowly this time, one-step at a time.

Fluid intake is very important to keep cells functioning properly. It is critical for healing. Insufficient fluid intake is like trying to wash dishes without any water! Fluids help keep cell organelles actively functioning doing their jobs efficiently and effectively.

  • Drink plenty of and only pure fluids. The amount of fluids needed depends on how fast the body is expending fluids. Spread the quantity out throughout the day. Certain conditions affect fluid expenditure. The higher the temperature, the drier the air, the greater the amount of exercise intensity, exertion and duration, the more rapidly the body uses fluids within the body. Increase fluid intake as these conditions increase.

  • Filtered water is good. I recommend reverse osmosis or carbon filters. An inexpensive way to improve water quality is to boil water and store it in the refrigerator in a glass container.

  • For added nutrients, fast absorption and an abundance of enzymes for quick healing, drink freshly juiced fruits and vegetables using a quality juicer. Wheatgrass juice helps supply the body with needed oxygen due to oxygen-rich chlorophyll. When you supply cells with an abundance of oxygen, optimal health is more likely.

  • Herbal tea supplies minerals that can contribute to healing. Brew tea in the sun by placing herbs in a glass jar and sitting the jar in the sun. This keeps the temperature low enough to preserve enzymes. When you boil water and add tea, you extract more tea constituents, but you destroy the enzymes. The temperature enzymes are destroyed varies per food item. The easiest thing to do is keep temperatures at 105° or lower to preserve enzymes. Enzymes are very powerful. Enzymes speed the rate of chemical reactions. In fact, some enzymes can cause a chemical reaction that would normally take one year to take place without enzymes to take just over 3 seconds with enzymes! That is powerful healing potential.

In conclusion, start healing naturally by increasing your fluid intake with plenty of pure water, enzyme-rich freshly juiced fresh fruits and vegetables, wheatgrass juice and herbal teas. Proper fluid intake can make a tremendous difference in how you feel and do so quickly. Start now.

Nerve Health

Lifestyle matters when it comes to your health. Boost health by improving your lifestyle with a few items for nerve health. Improving nerve health could potentially improve just about any condition. Give yourself a better chance of warding off sickness and disease. Feel better and have more fun at the same time! Consume and use the items mentioned below to make nerves healthier.

Nothing heals without a good nerve supply. Nerve damage can occur from physical injuries, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and attacks resulting from disease organisms. Damage to nerves generally progressively gets worse during the progression of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis. Help stop the progression or prevent it. Replace chemical and disease forms of minerals in the body with minerals from healing substances. You can strengthen the health of nerves with certain foods, herbs, spices, essential oils, and resins rich in biologically active minerals.

Try these to improve nerve health:
• Avocado
• Bay
• Frankincense
• Myrrh
• Olive
• Savory
Sesame
• Wormwood

Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables provides concentrated enzymes that dramatically increase the speed of healing. Foods that may help nerve health and juice well include grapefruit and orange. Citrus juicers and juice presses work best for juicing these fruits. They are efficient and extract more juice, which saves money, but centrifugal juicers could be used as well.

Other substances important for nerve health include:
• Cumin
• Pine nuts

To increase the chance of regenerating nerves, use:
• Button mushrooms
• Hyssop

Tips:
• Heat destroys enzyme. Therefore, eat food raw or add to uncooked recipes. This ensures enzymes will be available to speed potential healing.
• Essential oils are so concentrated that they can irritate skin if not diluted. Be sure to add essential oils to a carrier oil such as olive oil for dilution. Olive oil helps support the body’s electricity.

See the recipe on this blog for Seasoned Mayonnaise in the article Heal Naturally While Enjoying Delicious Fast Seasoned Mayonnaise. You could use many of the foods suggested here by substituting. However, the gums/essential oils frankincense and myrrh as well as bay, hyssop and wormwood essential oils should be used externally only. Add to a footbath, bathtub or an aromatherapy diffuser. Essential oils are great to add to homemade lotions as well. The herbs hyssop and wormwood can be used internally with precautions.

So improve the health of your nervous system starting today using a few simple foods, essential oils, spices and herbs. Remember using the mentioned items could improve the health of your nerves to help virtually any condition.

Cold Feet: An Easy Potential Solution

There are many possible causes for cold feet. Anemia, a deficiency of red blood cells, is one possible cause. There are a number of types and causes of anemia. Worldwide, iron deficiency anemia is the most common type. Hemoglobin production is dependent upon iron. Hemoglobin helps to carry oxygen to the tissues and cells throughout the body.

Iron can be a concern for vegetarians and vegans. Low vitamin B12 and folate put vegetarian and vegans at risk as well. However, most vegetarians and vegans consume enough iron since most consume a wide variety and sufficient quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables. Even though most consume sufficient amounts, some may not.

Those at greatest risk of iron deficiency anemia include:
• alcoholics due to low vitamin and mineral consumption
• people with blood loss: heavy menses, wounds, ulcers, cancer
• kidney disease victims with low erythropoietin hormone
• pregnant women gaining water weight
• individuals with poor B12 absorption
• those with sickle cell anemia, Thalassemia or leukemia
• individuals receiving chemotherapy or other medications

Some solutions for cold feet:
• Move to a warmer climate. This is not an option for most of us.
• Heat socks in microwave 30 secs.-1 min. for a quick fix.
• Exercise to increase circulation; walk after sitting long periods.
• Treat the condition causing the problem in the first place.
• Increase circulation with cayenne pepper and/or ginkgo*.
• Increase circulation by increasing hemoglobin.

The easiest way I know to increase hemoglobin production is to drink wheatgrass juice. If you make your own using a wheatgrass juicer, it will cost less in the long run than running down to a health food store and paying for it everyday.

Anemia diminishes oxygen delivery to the cells and tissues making any condition worse. On the other hand, wheatgrass juice increases oxygen delivery, benefiting virtually any condition, including anemia.

Oxygen-rich wheatgrass juice is superior to other green plants because it consists of 70% oxygen-rich chlorophyll and contains a multitude of minerals we need.

Some Wheatgrass Juice Benefits:
• anti-bacterial
• decreases inflammation
• detoxes the body
• flushes drugs out of the body
• helps keep hair from graying
• helps prevents tooth decay
• increases red blood-cell count
• promotes sleep
• purifies the liver
• reduces varicose veins
• slows aging
• stimulates the metabolism, which can help with weight loss
• tightens skin

Wheatgrass juice is safe and easy to drink. Even if the cause of your cold feet were not from anemia, wheatgrass juice may very well help because wheatgrass juice increases the oxygenation of the cells benefiting virtually any condition.

*Ginkgo thins blood. Do not take ginkgo with medications that thin blood. There are other contraindications as well. Consult your health care provider to see if it is right for you.

Multiple Sclerosis: Glimpses into Possible Help

The health of the body is both a miraculous and mysterious thing. One minute we may feel fine and the next we might start developing a list of annoying symptoms of illness or have a sudden sharp pain. Sometimes symptoms come and go, but they can persist. This usually sends us to a doctor for help. Unfortunately, a doctor’s recommendations often fall short of complete recovery. Whether it does or not, the wisest decision as far as our health is concerned is to learn what we can to do the best we can to take the best care of ourselves possible. Unbelievably, we are all worth the trouble!

No matter what health issue a person may deal with, there is hope for better health. Make the most of the situation by trying to be as healthy as possible. Even if improvements are only slight, that is better than regressing. If continued improvements occur, full recovery may be in the future. Even though we will not last forever in the body we have, we can try to be as healthy as we can while we are here. Most, if not all conditions can be improved by taking this approach.

Take injuries or diseases of the nerves such as ALD or MS. ALD or adrenoleukodystrophy is a rare inherited disease that affects young males. In this progressive disease, the myelin sheath surrounding nerve cells breaks down and Addison’s disease or primary adrenal insufficiency develops. Without this protective myelin covering, nerves are unable to function properly or at all. In the movie Lorenzo’s Oil based on a true story, determined parents of an ALD son, Lorenzo, help to discover a diet that stops the progression of this debilitating disease.

Multiple sclerosis is a progressive autoimmune disease affecting the brain and central nervous system in which symptoms and severity vary widely. The disease first occurs most commonly in young adult females. Nerve damage occurs when inflammation develops due to the body attacking itself. Nerve damage may occur in any part of the brain or spinal cord affecting any part of the body. When there is nerve damage, many potential symptoms can develop.

The exact cause of onset is unknown, but genetics, infection and environmental factors may be to blame. More research is needed, but here are some of my tips for dealing with MS:

Try to do what you can about the genetic factor.
  • Rose geranium essential oil
  • Palmarosa essential oil
Arrest the autoimmune attack.
  • Evening primrose oil
  • Cherries
Make sure the body’s electricity is intact.
  • Olive oil
Fight the demyelinating process. Glial cells help support and maintain neurons as well as help form myelin. Make them as healthy as possible and able to perform the duty they were made to perform.
  • Radish sprouts
Fight potential pathogenic infection that may have caused the problem in the first place as best you can.
  • Anti-viral foods – coconut, cranberry, dandelion greens, mango
  • Anti-bacterial foods – broccoli sprouts, ginger, hyssop, pecans
Fight inflammation.
  • Pineapple – fresh, freshly juiced or dried
In an attempt to fight off invading cells, glial cells produce substances that cause inflammation and swelling. Progesterone helps reduce this response.
  • Sunflower seed sprouts
Avoid worsening your condition by surrounding yourself with a healthy environment, diet, adequate exercise without overdoing it and rest. Even if you stop the progression of the demyelination, remyeliniztion is needed for full recovery. I am not going to pretend to have all the answers, but I have learned many things over the years that lead me to believe there is hope.

Strengthen the health of B-cells.
  • Cucumber
Combat muscle spasms with foods and essential oils high in amino acids that help with pain.
  • Almonds
  • Black currants
  • Frankincense
  • Sesame seeds
Strengthen eye health.
  • Red raspberries
Improve attention span.
  • Pecans
  • Rosemary
Fight fatigue.
  • Melissa herb (lemon balm)
Eliminate constipation.
  • Poke Berries
Improve immune system.
  • Mango
Progesterone may help protect and regenerate myelin as well as decrease apoptosis or premature programmed cell death helping to treat diseases like multiple sclerosis.
  • Sunflower seed sprouts
Improve the functioning of neuromuscular junctions, the synapse between nerve cells.
  • Coconut/oil
Concluding tips:
  • Maximize health by sprouting seeds like garbanzo beans and green peas for optimal enzyme content and healing potential.
  • Sprout your own seeds using your own sprouters for convenience, to save money, for desired quantities when you want them and for maximum freshness.
  • Drink plenty of enzyme-rich freshly juiced fruits and vegetables using the best juicers available to stay hydrated and healthy, increase enzyme consumption and to alleviate constipation.
  • Dilute essential oils with skin care oils
  • When it comes to healing, whether it is produce, herbs, seasonings, seeds or beans, fresh is best, then dried, then frozen, then cooked. (Please save these above links since, other than the juicers page, pages cannot be accessed from the home page.)
I hope these suggestions help you with your battle with MS or help you or someone you know prevent the condition. Sprouts have increased enzyme content, which potentially greatly enhances the speed of healing. Make sure your sprouts are fresh since sprouts spoil easily if not properly cared for. They also need to be raw or uncooked because heat destroys the enzymes.

Heal Naturally While Enjoying Delicious Fast Seasoned Mayonnaise!

I am always trying to pump up the nutrition in foods I eat. Why shouldn’t we all do that? We have to eat any way. Adding herbs, spices and healing foods adds flavor, interest and help us feel better. For some time now, I have been making what I call Seasoned Mayonnaise. Each time I make it, it is different because I add what I happen to have available at the time. I start with a basic recipe and try adding items I like, I have and that I know promote health. I might even add an ingredient that I know is good for a specific ailment that might be a potential problem for me. For the most part, I add several ingredients that have a history of use for a wide variety of health issues. If you do the same, you are likely to get the most benefit from the recipe.

To make things fast and easy, I use prepared mayonnaise, Vegenaise, which comes in several varieties. I have used them all. For a smooth texture, I suggest using the best blender you can. Some ingredients are tougher to grind than others are. Some of the best blenders available include Blendtec Blender and Vita-Mix. I use Vita-Mix. Both are available on my website, www.hope-for-health.com . The amount of prepared mustard in the recipe makes the mayonnaise taste very mustardy. So if you are not much of a mustard fan, cut back on this ingredient. This amount of ginger makes the mayonnaise very spicy. Cut back on this if you are not a big fan of spiciness. If you do not have fresh seasoning, used dried in a ratio of 1 dried to 3 fresh.

Some of the Healing Benefits Added Ingredients Are Used for: (To view and/or purchase seasonings, navigate through spice pages from this link Spices and Sasonings because these are hidden pages. You will not be able to find them from the home page.)

Basil – its anti-inflammatory and antioxidants properties aid allergies, circulation, the treatment of diabetes, impotence, infertility, skin conditions, and help prevent aging and most cancers
Cayenne – helps improve allergies, circulation, digestion and discourages constipation, gas, headache, heart disease, pain, sore throat, toothache and varicose veins
Coriander – its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help control blood sugar levels, lower LDL and raise HDL cholesterol
Cumin – aids digestion, may help protect against cancer and is a good source of iron, important for vegetarians and needed for hemoglobin production, enzyme function and protein formation
Garlic – its antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties boost immunity to help circulation, prevent strokes, treat cancer, diabetes and heart disease by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol and high blood pressure
Ginger – its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects help abdominal cramping, circulation, digestion, high blood pressure, lower LDL cholesterol and discourage nausea and morning sickness
Mustard – its antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties are thought to aid digestion, help prevent migraines, help treat asthma and arthritis, lower high blood pressure, inhibit cancer growth, soothe sore throats, speed metabolism, and treat skin conditions and bronchitis
Olives – oil from olives helps the body’s electricity, protects against heart disease by lowering LDL (bad) and raising HDL (good) cholesterol, may help protect against gastritis and ulcers and may help prevent gallstones
Pepper – its antibacterial properties and antioxidant attributes enhance absorption for improved digestion; may help with relief from constipation and gas, aid fat breakdown and discourage cancer proliferation
Turmeric – its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties help detoxify the liver, prevent and treat cancer and tumors, reduce childhood leukemia risks, speed wound healing, treat damaged skin, work as a natural painkiller and may: aid fat metabolism, help with the treatment of pancreatic cancer, prevent and slow Alzheimer's and slow advancement of multiple sclerosis

Basic Seasoned Mayonnaise
1 cup Vegenaise
¼ cup prepared mustard
1 T or more fresh turmeric
2 t fresh ginger
1 clove garlic
a few turns of freshly ground pepper

Add one or more of the following:
¼ t cayenne pepper
1 cup packed fresh basil (your mayonnaise will be green)
2 T olives
1 t cumin
½ t coriander

Add ingredients to the best blender you have, especially for hard to grind roots like galangal. With the Vita-Mix, start on lowest setting and gradually turn up the speed until the mayonnaise looks smooth and makes a consistent blending sound. It only takes seconds!

Tips: Adding water dense foods like celery and sweet red peppers will make the mayonnaise thinner. Adding fresh galangal or burdock root gives the recipe an unpleasant grainy texture, but is tolerable if you want to take advantage of their healing properties. Once you put it on a sandwich, you really can't tell any way.

DISCLAIMER: People have used the above spices, herbs and food for the stated purposes and conditions. Some of the benefit claims have proven scientific research to back them up while others may not.
